Does Halfling/Kithkin luck happen before Dark Gift negative effects
The Dark Gifts almost all have an effect that says "Immediately after you make a D20 Test and roll a 1 on the d20"... something bad happens.
The Kithkin/Halflings lucky feat says "When you roll a 1 on the d20 of a D20 Test, you can reroll the die..."
The question is: does the word "immediately" in the dark gifts mean that it happens BEFOREA halfling/Kithkin luck triggers the reroll?
If halfling luck takes place first then Halflings would be nearly (1/400 chance) immune to the negative effects of a dark gift.
I think it's DM discretion at the beginning of the campaign, but I am curious how others would approach it.
