StoryLine Plugin doubts
Hi! I am loving the StoryLine plugin, but I have some doubts about it. (I know I can open Issues, and I did open some, but first I need to check if it's a Issue or lack of knowledge from my part)
- How does StoryLine know what a dialogue is and what its narrative?
- What is the effect of tagging Codex entries in a scene? If I check the entry in the codex, it doesn't track to a scene unless I directly mention it in the text
- How does a nickname work in Character Codex? I already tested, and adding a nickname to a place will make StoryLine detect in text, but the nickname for a Character doesn't have said effect (I added those nicknames and I mentioned those names)
- There is a way to link two codex entries (in the sense of making one codex refering to the other?)
I am confused because in the locations field in Characters, nothing happens
But when you do it in the Locations, it works
As you can see, it mentions the location, but not the character
- Similar question, is there a way to grab field values from the Codex in the manuscript? Ex:
What if I want to grab the value from REAL_FIRST_NAME?
I am at the moment using Embed Metadata, and it works, but since StoryLine was not made to be compatible with Embed Metadata, the whole string has its words counted, resulting in adding more than 10 words just to place the name "Antônia". I have a word limit, thus word count is really important to me.
- Is it possible to make the Manuscript tab stop auto-set Plain Text on?
I always put it as of, since I use wikilinks, but it always auto-sets it as on.
