Incoming first year Life Sci student abt course enrolment

Hi guys, I am an incoming first year life sci student at utsg, and I'm honestly so confused about course enrolment. How do you actually know which courses to enroll in? How do you know which courses are required and which ones are electives?

Any tips or advice would be really appreciated because I'm stressing over this way too much
