Need help
Need advice from fellow tarot/spiritual readers - client filed chargebacks after years of readings
I'm looking for advice from other professional tarot/spiritual readers because this situation has left me shocked.
I've been reading for a client for several years. She repeatedly came back for more readings, booked multiple sessions, contacted me on Instagram and even by email asking for more readings. She would sometimes request readings late at night, and I always tried to accommodate her despite the time difference, providing my services from India.
She even sent me her own photos for readings and asked questions about people she knows. Everything was done through Instagram chat, and I also have emails where she specifically asked me to book more readings.
The problem started when I asked her to pay me USD 985 that she still owed for previous services. Instead of paying, she suddenly filed PayPal chargebacks on multiple past transactions.
What doesn't make sense to me is this: if she truly believed my services weren't as described or that I had scammed her, why did she keep returning for years and continue purchasing more readings? As service providers, we don't force anyone to come back. Every repeat booking is the client's own decision.
I'm submitting all my Instagram chats and email evidence to PayPal, but I'd love to hear from other readers.
Has anyone experienced a client filing chargebacks only after a payment dispute? How did PayPal handle it, and do repeat purchases usually help demonstrate that the services were willingly received?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
