Editing recording and editing audio and video.

What does everyone use to record and edit audio. I have tried audacity but i can't seem to get it to pick up my mic brushing and scratching sounds. I have played around with so many settings and nothing works. I use capcut for my video editing but I just dont like the audio. I need something very user friendly.
