Customer took my order as a "prank"....

So I had two orders from one restaurant. I told the person behind the counter and said I'll grab them in a sec and that I'm just going to use the washroom. When I walked in there were two men there. I came out of the washroom I went to get the orders and the person behind the counter told me one of the men took my order. The other man said his friend took it to his car as a prank. Told me to wait and he will call his friend and he will give the order back. The person behind the counter was cussing him and asking why they would do that 🤣. I said to the person behind the counter I'll just cancel the second order and take the one they didn't take. I have no idea why they didn't take both for their apparent prank but whatever. Then when I was leaving the friend was coming in with the food and I just left with the first order. I don't want to take a second order that a customer took in his car and could have eaten some of. Such a weird day. So curious if anyone had experienced something similar. Especially since the friend that took the food walked right past me and didn't say anything.
