Possibly moving to Wilsonville. Apartment recommendations? And grocery shopping?
Hi all - My wife & I currently live in Beaverton, but we're considering a move to Wilsonville to be closer to where my wife works (Salem); I work in Hillsboro, so we're thinking Wilsonville might be a good in-between point, since she could avoid highway 217, which causes much of the delay for her commute.
We've looked online for apartments, but it seems to me there are usually a lot more apartments in an area than are listed online. I'm curious what people might recommend for an apartment complex in Wilsonville? Aside from the usual things (hopefully relatively quiet & clean, etc.), these are some things we're looking for:
- Rent budget: Around $2,000-$2,500/month or so
- Pet friendly (accepts cats)
- 1.5 or 2 bathrooms
- 2 or 3 bedrooms
- Ideally can have 2 reserved parking spaces (we both have jobs that we will be driving to)
We'd like to get a 1st-floor apartment, but I don't think that would be a deal-breaker. Also, being near grocery shopping etc. is a plus, but not a deal breaker either.
A couple apartment complexes we've seen online that caught our eye are Wilsonville Summit and Boulder Creek.
Also, I'm curious what stores you like to buy groceries at? Often we like to shop at WinCo, Walmart, or Fred Meyer; of those, it looks like only Fred Meyer has a location in Wilsonville? I'm a little surprised there isn't a WinCo or Walmart, as they seem to have some of the lowest prices in the area.
