Affirmations, Coaching, etc
I’ve been noticing a trend of people who just want to sh\*t on techniques, different coaches, the law in general, different ideas. Desperate for results which means you haven’t grasped the concept—you are living in your manifestation currently. You *must* know who you are.
My journey so far and success:
I learnt about the law sometime last year and it immediately resonated because I could name a bunch of things that I manifested consciously before that I didn’t realize I was doing at the time.
For eg. Promotion to management at a job I was working after only being there for 2 months. A plastic surgery covered partially by insurance and partially by a family member. (No cost to me). Things like that. I just told myself it would happen and then believed.
After learning about the law I realized how powerful the mind is and realized I could harness it. A month later I met the perfect man for me on hinge of all places. I just told myself “the love of my life already found me” “I’m with someone who \*lists traits of my desired partner” etc. We are still together and are moving in this month. He is my soul mate.
Had an incident with my dog and my dad wanted me to rehome her. After weeks of mourning and being unable to accept a life without her I went for a walk one day, I was literally crying on this walk just saying “he changed his mind”. When I got home I told him I was really having a hard time with accepting that I’d have to let her go. With no further discussion and no push back he said I could keep her.
I have an anxious attachment style so whenever my bf takes too long to respond or misses my call and it triggers me I just take deep breaths and repeat “he misses me so much” or “he’s obsessed with me”…we don’t really fight because we are very compatible but we are human. When we do and I’m ready for it to go back to normal I always just say “we made up” or something like that. These things always work instantly for me.
With everything I manifested consciously I truly believed them. I truly believe my bf is perfect for me so it’s not hard to believe he misses me so much or wants to make up with me asap. Idk how to explain but when you truly believe something, it just feels different.
I think this is what people miss with robotic affirmations and affirming in general. You need to affirm that you the believe thing. If you’re coming from a place of lack, you will never get it because you believe that you don’t have it in the first place.
I grew up lower middle class in a developing country always hearing my parents say “I don’t have enough” or “we can’t afford xyz” so my thoughts with money made it hard for me to manifest large amounts because subconsciously I didn’t believe I could have it. So I started with things that were believable. I would say “someone sent me $$$” and then any time I had a doubt about being able to afford something I would just shrug and say “oh yeah, someone sent me $$$” (for context I’ve been self employed for over a year — I don’t want a job)
Without fail, I would always receive the money in some way or other within a few days. I have since started saying “I always have enough to afford whatever I want and need.”
This is very comfortable for me now so I’ve gone on to a specific amount I make each day. Since I know I always have enough to afford what I want and need, it’s easy to believe I will make this amount daily. It helps that I’ve made this before while I was working so I also know what it feels like to have that much money. For context, it’s not anything crazy like $1000 a day.
The largest amount I was able to manifest at once was $10,000. I was testing subliminals and it happened after listening to one while sleeping. I don’t remember what video it was because I didn’t make the connection right away. I detach myself from techniques and stuff like that because imo they all serve the same end goal which is getting you to believe you have the outcome already.
Subliminals make me overthink so I don’t use them anymore. It just so happened that I randomly chose to listen to a $10k subliminal and within that month I got it. I wasn’t affirming for it otherwise. I don’t think it would work again because it only worked the first time because I wasn’t thinking about it, looking for it, or expecting it. I know myself, and I know if I did that now, I would constantly waver.
My tips:
Figure out what helps you to believe. It might be better to try small believable things first (rather than something like winning the lotto)
Use affirmations that will help you believe. For eg. Instead of saying “I have a million followers” (when you *know and believe* you have 1k, say “the algorithm works in my favor” and when you see it reflect (like a random post getting a lot more engagement than usual), acknowledge it—“of course, the algorithm works in my favor.” And when a post *doesn’t* do well **still affirm that the algorithm works in your favor.** Why? Because maybe that post has misinformation, something that would get you cancelled, the wrong kind of attention, etc.
Personally, I like conscious manifestations to reflect asap. So I don’t use big umbrella affirmations like “I’m living my dream life” when my dream life is to be a millionaire who takes care of my family, is able to retire my husband, owns a home and drives a Porsche.
I know I will get to this point eventually but I don’t believe that is my life right now.
I stay away from any affirmations that will cause me to think “ok but you don’t have that”—that’s how you begin to waver. I stick to affirmations that I can believe right now.
I have ADHD so robotic affirmations do not really work for me. I have a playlist called “absolute serotonin” with music that gives me an endorphin rush, then I turn the music off and imagine/visualize. Sometimes if I’m having a hard time focusing, I will do controlled breathing while I state my affirmation and usually this will bring out the visual.
If you’re a day dreamer this should really work for you. Sometimes I get lost in the visualization for 30 minutes, sometimes it’s only 5, sometimes I fall asleep thinking of myself in whatever outcome and legit dream about it. The amount of time doesn’t matter, but the longer you are able to hold it, the more you impress the outcome into your reality. You’re essentially brainwashing yourself into believing.
The feel good music is just to put you in a good mood/help you clear your mind. For me this is strictly an ADHD thing, it’s hard for me to affirm/visualize after coming from a task. It resets my brain basically.
I don’t believe that you have to be in a particular to mood to manifest. I actually believe it’s best to detach, which is my final tip.
My conscious manifestations that reflect the quickest are the ones where I literally could not care less and don’t attach any feeling at all.
Actually, I lied. I have one last tip. You have to do the thing. If you want to manifest your dream body but you are eating Popeyes every day, not moving your body, but youre sitting there repeating “I have my dream body”…you’re literally telling yourself and the universe that the body you’re in, the one that doesn’t move and runs on bs is your dream body.
I lost 30lbs last year by walking everyday for 30 mins (hour total) to Tim horton’s and back home for a latte, while telling myself “I lose weight so easily”. I started going to the gym because I wanted a more muscular physique and while working out I’d tell myself “recomp is actually so easy”
Went from 205 to 175lb. I’m 5’11.
I stopped working out consistently but knew I didn’t want to gain the weight back, so I started to tell myself “it’s really hard to gain weight, huh?” My weight has been fluctuating within the same 5lbs since then. I weighed myself recently and was 178lb despite eating whatever I want.
I say all that to say, your actions are important. Contradicting your affirmations through your actions is more powerful than wavering in your thoughts. Don’t sit there saying “I’m a best selling author” and not also write the book.
Coaches
Some of you put too much stock in people who simply prop up a phone camera and upload to YouTube. You do not need to pay anyone to learn how to manifest. I honestly learned everything I know through free videos and reading.
I know Sammy is controversial, but I liked her when I first started. It disturbs me that people online are always commenting on her weight. Fatphobia is not ok, just because you don’t like someone. While I acknowledged that robotic affirming wasn’t for me, I took the meat of what she said and left the potatoes. I still believe affirmations are the best way to get yourself into that belief/knowing mode. To be fair, Sammy doesn’t say you have to be so robotic and repetitive. The affirmation itself is what’s important, and she is right that if you repeat something to yourself you will Eventually believe it.
At the end of the day, Sammy is still just a person. It’s like some of you expected her to be Jesus performing miracles or something. That being said, I don’t watch her all the time so maybe I’m missing something.
I also like Taylor Tookes. I watched her video talking about the green sports car as I was driving home from the store and while I was watching it I also saw a lime green sports car. That was really cool and since it was fairly early in my journey, it really gave me a lot of confidence. I also liked that her career wasn’t just giving manifestation advice on YouTube, she actually has a successful modeling career and I like seeing her posting her magazine covers and stuff.
I love Nero Knowledge because of his essay style videos and it just seems like he’s passionate about spirituality. Now everybody wants to get a white board lol
Overall, I’m just into the concept and really watch these people from time to time when their videos are recommended to me. I’m not constantly looking for techniques to try or do challenges or anything like this. It’s like any other interest I have that I watch videos for on YouTube.
If you are constantly looking for advice and techniques to try, I don’t think you understand the true concept of the law. Be wary of people who claim to manifest $100k out of thin air but only ever record videos on their iPhone in their cheap car. Or people whose entire careers are “coaching” manifestations.
I can understand wanting help to come up with affirmations that will actually work for you, I truly hope my advice helps because it’s the advice I needed when I first started out.
I like to affirm and I like to visualize/imagine. Other techniques did not feel believable to me. You should do whatever you believe will work for you. If that’s robotic affirmation, do it. If that’s scripting, do it. There are no rules, you are living in your manifestation currently.
I know this was long but I hope I helped someone. I like seeing people talking about their successes. I’ll be back to update…maybe.
My struggles:
Like I said before, financial insecurity was a big thing for me. It used to be difficult for me to see myself making enough and especially not self employed. I used to believe it was difficult.
The $$ thing was the last thing I was unable to master, so that’s what I’ve been working on. Like I said before, I started with affirming that I always have enough to afford what I want and need. Now that I know this and believe this whole heartedly…I have moved on to a specific $ amount each day.
My biggest issue is I will some days feel like I’m playing it too small and up the amount randomly, but I know I don’t believe it will happen. Self awareness is extremely important for conscious manifestations. I’m done trying to force myself to believe or know things that I understand I simply do not. So I’m going to stick with that $$ amount until I know and believe it is easy for me to make that in a day—then I’ll increase it.
All of this is supported by me showing up for my business consistently—actually putting myself out there and creating new products. I recently revamped my website etc. I also upped my prices because I deserve to be paid for my hard work.
Since then, I’ve already seen an increase in website visitors and orders. So I know it is easy to make $$ everyday and will continue to do so consistently until I don’t even think about it anymore.
Don’t be hard on yourself. This is not magic, but it does work.
