The development of the world (pokemon)
So I was restarting in pokemon super mystery dungeon and I saw the art for the school. It just had me thinking about how the world of pmd became domesticated basically.
This is just based on vibes so I could be wrong.
In the first game it feels almost a little wild, you've got this little town and then the untamed wilds all around presumably too far from any other town. Then in explorer's instead of just rag tag groups things have become more organized, so now you've got different guilds running certain operations on the continent, which as presumably spread to the rest of the world, which has lead to larger towns. I didn't play gates so I dunno it's vibes. But you're building a haven which I think paved way to more developed cities. Then finally you have super. Schools are around now, things are tame enough where parents aren't teaching their kids how to survive, but schools now take that role and teach them how to thrive. And the town you live in is large enough that there's even an abandoned building. The exploration federation leader talks about how they're a global entity now, which means all the guilds came together to become one super power basically. Because of that you get to see so many cities, and they're all developed in their own way due to their specific environment.
I dunno if this plays a part in the vibes but the protags in rescue team felt like kids to me, even as an adult. Explorer's felt like adults or teens. Didn't play gates. Super, you're obviously a kid even if you're an adult irl or you've played all the pmd games.
All this from seeing the main menu art.
