New Garmin Edge 550 won’t charge

Hi,

I wonder if anyone has any ideas how to make the Edge 550 charge again. I have used the head unit for a week roughly and I have been able to recharge it couple of times as expected.

Today, I tried to charge it before a ride but it did not. I tested the Edge with my laptop and the laptop recognizes the device as per usual. All updates were in order. When I take the charging plug off, the device recognizes that but it does not charge.

During the ride, the device ran out of battery and now if I plug it to charger, the charging symbol (lightning bolt) just flashes, occasionally with a red prohibition symbol over the bolt. Is there anything I can do? I have tried and tested all the booting protocols etc. Everything is clean and dry as well, and the chargers and cables do work on other devices and also, I used them succesfully with this new Edge earlier.

Guess I will keep using my 10 y.o. Edge 520 and when it gives up, so will my usage of Garmin devices. Abysmal quality at this price point.
