Is there a way to start LG TV on HDMI 1?

My MIL has dementia in an assisted care facility. She has Direct TV Stream connected to HDMI 1. Often, when she turns in the TV via the DTV remote, the TV turns on to the LG Home Page instead of HDMI. Is there a way to default the TV to HDMI1? She isn't able to use the LG remote to change the input. Thanks!!
