Fixing cut sprinkler line and can't find 7/16 to 7/16 barb coupler

I've tried fixing this issue with a 3/8, which is too small. The typical 1/2 is just not going in the hose. I've tried soap, but it's not going to happen. The hose is old and very stiff.

I measured the inside of the hose and it comes out to 7/16. I can't find that size in the longer barb connector like the one in the picture anywhere.

All of the local stores I've tried only carry the two sizes which I haven't gotten to work. Before I order and wait on 7/16, I'm curious if there is another solution.
