which laptop to buy

hey i wanted to buy a laptop for college, it’ll mostly just be used for studying/work. i wanted something within 80k inr (840 usd). i was wondering if i should buy rn or wait for macbook prices to drop when the diwali amazon sale hits. i have an iphone so i imagine buying a macbook would be more convinient in certain ways? rn the macbook prices are high and out of my budget so pls lmk whether i should wait for the diwali sale (will it even drop enough to be within my budget lmao) or just buy a normal laptop. also if yes then pls suggest i have 0 tech knowledge.
