Update: Wore the minimalist mid-calf midi to my sister's graduation dinner (OC) and it survived the family photos

Quick update to my last post where I was deciding between two simple midi and ankle options for my sister's graduation dinner. I ended up going with the minimalist mid-calf midi and I'm really glad I did.

I worried it might read too plain in photos, but it photographed cleanly and looked more intentional than the longer option. The length also made it way easier to move around while dealing with the usual family chaos: getting my dad to stand in the right spot for pictures, convincing him the camera was actually on, and the quick "no, do not swipe that" when he picked up my phone.

Fit notes after a full evening: it stayed comfortable through dinner, did not ride up awkwardly, and I wasn't constantly fiddling with it. The waist stayed where it should even after a lot of standing and sitting. I also feel like I can wear it again without it screaming "graduation dinner," which was the point.

Photos are from right before we left and a couple taken after we got home so you can see the whole dress. Any small suggestions for next time, like shoes, accessories, or hair, are welcome since I'm still figuring out what looks best on me.
