Will Samsung EVER use Silicon-Carbon batteries to make phones lighter?
We all know the pain of dropping a 230g flagship on your face in bed. Phones have become literal bricks, mostly due to bulky Lithium-Ion batteries.
Meanwhile, Honor and Xiaomi are killing it with Silicon-Carbon (Si-C) batteries. By replacing graphite with silicon, they get much higher energy density—meaning phones can finally be thinner, lighter, and still pack 5,500+ mAh.
Rumors show Samsung SDI is developing them, but they keep skipping them for the Galaxy flagships due to high production costs.
What do you think?
Is there any chance Samsung will finally bite the bullet and use Si-C tech to drop the weight of their phones?
Or are we stuck carrying bricks forever?
