Isthe whole idea of a flat earth based off the idea of elites controlling a narrative?

Ancient civilisations believed the earth was flat. Most flat earth models are ancient maps.

So they believe the idea of the globe model was to limit the knowledge about the world like the 'gates of the ice walls' by introducing a globe model.

But the thing is the globe model existed even before NASA.
