Back to square one
I have been going to the gym on and off for a year now. I had just moved back to my home country last year when I signed up for a PT and lost about 9 pounds. Stopped, gained the same weight back by going back to old habits and now that I’ve lost the same nine pounds yet again, my weight is stagnated at this point, even though I have been regular to the gym for four months, leaving just one day a week, 2 at max.
It’s like every time I reach a new high, my motivation is at its peak, then when I find my way down to this weight again, I have run out of discipline. I see myself repeatedly going back to the takeout-because-minor-inconvenience habit I picked up in grad school, and even though I’m more aware than I’ve been before, mildly muscular for once in my life, I can’t seem to keep my calories in check. I’m always craving thing after thing.
Right now, I am only at the point where I am giving into cravings but still going to the gym and keeping my protein in check. I’m worried if I continue to see this range on the scale(albeit, result of my own actions) I might just stop giving a damn entirely. How do I proceed?
