10 gallon stocking

I have an extra 10 gallon tank that my kids have been begging for me to set up as a “kids’ tank.” (I will be doing all of the maintenance and care, they just want to have input on tank design and to each name a fish).

I need a minimum of 6 fish, and I know my options are limited for a 10 gal. What type of fish or combination of fish do you recommend?
