I underestimated how important bedroom temperature really is
I spent way too much money trying to sleep better before I realized I was ignoring the most obvious thing.
New pillow? Bought one.
Cooling mattress topper? Tried it.
Fancy sheets? Yep.
Some of them helped a little, but I still kept waking up feeling uncomfortable. It wasn't until I stayed in a hotel for a couple nights that I noticed something.
The room was cooler than mine.
That was it.
I came home and started keeping my bedroom a few degrees cooler before bed instead of waiting until I already felt hot. Within a week I noticed I wasn't waking up sweaty or constantly sticking one leg out from under the blanket.
It wasn't some miracle fix, but it made a way bigger difference than I expected.
Looking back, it's funny how I obsessed over what I was sleeping on while barely thinking about the air around me.
Now temperature is one of the first things I check if I'm having a rough night. If the room feels stuffy, I already know my sleep probably won't be great.
Kinda wish I'd figured that out before buying a bunch of stuff I didn't really need.
Did anyone else have one super simple change that ended up helping more than all the expensive sleep products?
