Just got back into Unite. Used to have a sub-50% win rate in total (and its now about 65%) and thought holy flip, I suck.

Since returning, I hit Expert Class 1 and my win rates skyrocketed: Ranked is 76%, Casual is 70%, and Quick is 57% (up from 45%).

Garchomp gets hate for being lackluster, but his baseline damage is already crazy. You don't need a glass-cannon build just to melt when two guys jump you.
Here is the tanky setup working for me to survive and hit my 5-stacks:
Item: X Attack
Held: Weakness Policy, Rocky Helmet, Assault Vest
Emblems: Flat HP
If a special attacker gives me trouble, I just tank for a special attacker on my team. I’m the meat-shield, they drop bombs from the back, easy wins.

That being said, some pokemon like moltres/sylveon....its a little struggle against but other than that, pokemon like Pikachu/gardevoir is fine.

The Lows:
I dont know if i want to continue playing as it feels way to forced to pay for so much crap ie
Pop-ups: Clicking "X" on 10 ads just to see the lobby is a joke.
The Paywall: At launch, you could actually earn characters. Now everything is locked behind the "License Journey." Technically you can get them free, but it takes forever just for one character.
Either A, I'm doing something wrong, or B, the paywall is insane now. Anyone else returning and feeling alienated by this?

Game is fun and I love garchomp but...
