Tailfin Jorney Pannier Rack

What do you think the feasibility of getting this running on Wednesday is? The thru axle is probably a no-go, but I think the 184mm direct mount WOULD work on the rear dropout braze-ons. Tire clearance for a 700c is 2.6" but I wonder if it could get fatter for 26" wheels.

Don't want to install a big rack since the Wednesday is my mountain bike, but would be nice to have a quick release rack I could throw in for the odd commute while my other bike is out of commission or if I want to hit some trails on my way home.
