Moving to Kaloor, Kochi for 7 months as a student – Looking for budget food, living tips, and part-time job suggestions

I’m moving to **Kaloor, Kochi** next Sunday for a **7-month professional course**. My accommodation and study center are both in Kaloor, and this will be my first time living in Kochi on my own.

I’m trying to plan my monthly budget and would really appreciate advice from people who have lived or studied in the area.

A few things I’d like to know:

* How much does a student usually spend per month in Kochi (excluding rent)? * Are there any clean, budget-friendly messes or hotels near Kaloor that serve good meals at reasonable prices? * Where do students usually shop for groceries and daily essentials without spending too much? * What’s the cheapest and most convenient way to travel around Kochi if I don’t own a bike? * Can anyone suggest genuine part-time jobs that are suitable for students? I don’t have a bike, so delivery jobs aren’t an option. I’m open to working in cafés, supermarkets, retail stores, restaurants, customer service, data entry, or any evening/weekend jobs. * Any tips for saving money, avoiding common mistakes, or making student life easier in Kochi?
