How do you make mod to apply player's color onto buildings?

So I notice that in Factorio there is a few objects like Turrets, Trains, Train Stops, etc...., which can always automatically copy our player's colors.

Because of this, I would like to ask where I can edit building sprites in order to achieve the same effects?

Or simply do you know any mods that can do the same thing too?
