Need Help deciding between Zerno Z2 and Lagom 01 [€4000]
Hello people of Reddit.
I need help deciding on a new grinder for myself.
I want to either buy a Lagom 01 with SSP HU Burrs or a Zerno Z2 with SSP LS. Where i live both grinders cost about the same, because of customs and taxes, so price is no issue.
I have owned a Zerno Z1 for about a year now and it is definetly my favourite grinder so far, so i'm leaning towards the Z2, however i don't know if the Z2 will provide enough additional value since i'm planning to keep my Z1.
I had the opportunity to try the Lagom 01 during WOC in Brussels. It feels solid, however i'm a bit hesitant, since the threads of the grind adjustment don't feel as smooth as the one one the Zerno. Also since Option O is manufacturing in China, i don't fully trust their build quality. The 102s of the Lagom i'm sure would provide a whole nother perspective tastewise, but on the other hand i have limited burr options.
If you have used one or both of the grinders, your experience would be a huge help in deciding which one to pick.
I'm mainly going to use the grinder for light roast espresso with modern brewing styles. However i want the option to also do some traditional espresso with the grinder. It will also be used for some filter coffee around 30% of the time.
Looking forward to your answers. :)
