Killer Name: The Monolith

Killer Description: After destroying his own world, The Monolith was left with only 5 humans to eternally give his existence meaning through their suffering. Using his unique perks **Planetary Control, Lord Over and Loathing,** The Monolith will ensure **they do not die of it.**

Killer Power: **COGITO ERGO SUM:** The Monolith engages with the map as an enormous chunk of substrata rock, a testament to its unrelenting hatred engraved on the front of it. The Monolith IS the trial.

From its prison, The Monolith is granted 12 cameras per trial, placed map wide to observe survivors with a full 360 degree turning radius, able to be swapped between on a 5 second cooldown outside of chase. In chase, the cooldown is reduced to 2 seconds. The Monolith can use these cameras to set up a series of traps, however, only 4 can be established at any given time. Traps are pre-placed in strategic locations around the map, making The Monolith have to juggle priority with traps.

If a survivor is within 20 meters of a camera and is stared at with it for more than 10 seconds, they are locked out of repairing, healing, unhooking and sabotaging for 15 seconds

Trap 1: **Fire Grates:** The Monolith can activate a small, metal grate beneath any pallet or window lasting 1 minute. Any survivor that walks through these grates will immediately be put into the Injured state as they are burned by the trap.

Trap 2: **Floor Traps:** The Monolith can activate a trap in the floor, causing the surrounding ground to become distorted and withered, lasting 35 seconds. When a survivor steps over this trap, they will be ensnared by wires and held in place. This trap does not deal damage.

Trap 3: **Construct Traps:** The Monolith can activate a trap across doorways and narrow areas such as pallets indicated by a red laser. When a construct trap is triggered, a robotic construct will be spawned, engaging a survivor in chase for 20 seconds before collapsing and despawning.

**Killer Perks:**

**Planetary Control:** *"There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin lines that fill my complex... - The Monolith*

When a generator is completed, all generators currently regressing are blocked for 15/20/25 seconds

**Lord Over:** ***"****FOR COGITO ERGO SUM. I THINK THEREFORE I AM. I* ***AM!"*** *- The Monolith*

Whenever a hook is sabotaged, for 6/10/14 seconds, all survivor auras are revealed.

**Loathing:** *"IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE... ONE-****BILLIONTH*** *OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR HUMANS AT THIS MICROINSTANT. FOR YOU. HATE. HATE. - The Monolith*

Hooking a survivor through any means will grant 1 token of **Loathing**. For each token gained, the Obsession heals, recovers, repairs, unhooks*,* sabotages, 6% slower, up to a maximum of 5 tokens (30%)

**Survivor Equalization: SuperComputers:** Survivors can find large computers around the map that they can interact with. Interacting with each computer takes 15 seconds. When a computer is interacted with, The Monolith is locked out of the 3 cameras closest to that computer for 30 seconds. 2 traps closest to the computer are also **Locked** and unable to be activated for 30 seconds. Only 2 computers can be active at once.

**FAQ:**

**How would his M1 work?:** When a survivor is within 15 meters of a camera, The Monolith can charge an electric shock to hit them from the ground, taking 5 seconds to charge due to the distance at which he can M1. Each camera has an individual 7 second cooldown on activating a shock to prevent spamming from such range.

**How would he Hook/Break Pallets/Break Walls?:** When the Monolith wishes to break a pallet or a wall, it can hover its camera reticle over the destructible object. Pressing the action button will cause a robotic construct to rise from the ground, destroying the object. If the construct is blinded, The Monolith is equally blinded. The Monolith is locked out of any other action until the pallet break animation is complete.

When he wishes to Hook, the Monolith's camera perspective will be switched to that of a small robotic construct that is used to pick up and carry survivors to the hook. The drone has a standard M1 to prevent bodyblocking. Flashlight saves still work as normal on this drone, causing it to collapse if it is blinded.

**How Does His Terror Radius Work?:** The Monolith's terror radius is simply set to whichever camera he is monitoring at that given time, chase engaging when a survivor is stared at for more than 10 seconds or is within 10 meters of the camera The Monolith is occupying

**Can He Be Blinded?:** If a survivor manages to get up to the camera The Monolith is occupying and shine a flashlight into it, The Monolith can be blinded in that camera for a longer time than other killers, up to 6 seconds, allowing survivors a chance to escape his range.

**How are Pallets even useful against this?:** Pallets can be dropped and crouched behind to waste The Monolith's time and hide from it if it does not hit you before you get to it.

**How would he open lockers?:** When The Monolith wishes to search a locker, it will have its camera perspective shifted to a robotic construct, so if a survivor is in a locker, they can be insta-grabbed.

**Conclusion: It's definitely not perfect, but I tried my best with it! I love AM and would love to hear your input on this killer concept!**
