Buak questions

I decided to try a new curated map and went with Buak.

I already looted towns and got myself a decent amount of melee weapons, a car, and a map. So here are some things I'd like to know:

1. Are there military locations in Buak? Where are they?

2. How do I get a research kit? Do I need to blow up those safes with dynamite?

3. Where can I find gasmasks and rifles?
