This country feels regressive

Idk if this will reach the right audience but here goes…

I’m tired of the hypocrisy women face in this country.

There are a lot of ‘influencers’ who complain about the ‘revealing’ outfits shown in dramas (literally just sleeveless tops🙄). They also complain about ‘hug scenes’ becoming too common in these dramas. They claim that such scenes and outfits are inappropriate and cannot be watched in the presence of family and should be censored as it does not align with Islamic beliefs.

My question is, why have they never raised complaints again very graphic abusive and violent scenes in which the female characters are the victims? Where do their beliefs go? Is that family friendly content? The audience is so used to such violent scenes that they don’t even bat an eye to them. But yet they’re always crying about a romantic scene between two consenting adult characters (who are married btw), and by romantic I mean literally just a simple hug.

Whats with the Hypocrisy?
