Who I am: My name is Joseph. I'm a 30 yr old man who moved to Cairo from Athens 2 years ago, and now that I'm settled in, I'm looking to put together an offline group. I'm an experienced DM who's been DMing for the same online group for 6 years, and I've been a player for 7 years!!

Who I am looking for: Players or DMs, so long as they are kind, respectful, and open-minded, and looking to participate in collaborative storytelling. Beginners are welcome.

What: I'm thinking we'd start with a couple of one-shots to get to know each other, then a long-term campaign. I've run a few campaigns for another group that I've still got the resources for, and I'm happy to run them again. If anyone wants to DM, that's also welcome.

Where: Cairo is a mega-city, so It's up to you whether you can make it. I'm based in El Sherouk, but I've got a car, so we can coordinate the game anywhere less than an hour away. The distance should be manageable if you're located in Heliopolis, Tagamo3, New Cairo, Madinty, Badr City, the new capital, or possibly Ramadan or Nasr City.

My DMing style:

I like to run games with a healthy mix of roleplay and combat, and a lighthearted atmosphere. My goal when running a game is to create an atmosphere where players feel comfortable participating in discussions and interacting with others. I enjoy telling jokes and keeping the mood lighthearted and fun (outside of dramatic moments).

Most importantly, I make it a point to tie player characters' backstories to the campaign and ensure they have a reason to pursue the plot!!
