I'm in England, my employer seems to harassing me about dependant leave.

Criminal

Hi, I have worked for this company for four and a half years. Over the last 12 months, my daughter (10) has had a variety of illnesses/injuries which has resulted in me taking time off work to deal with her. I have had 9 occasions resulting in 11 days of work missed.

My employer has taken me into an amp meeting to discuss these absences, I have explained that they are dependent leave and have all the proof of that. They then tried to tell me it's too much time off and that I needed to reduce my rotas hours, to then have more ability to come my off days. When I pushed back against this, my employer mentioned that I was not fulfilling my contractual obligations and I could be taken for a capability procedure. I felt very attacked and like it was scare tactics behaviour by them.

Can my employer take me into a capability procedure over dependent leave?
