In the Spirit of Integration

What are your personal learnings and realisations from the festival?
What are you taking with you, what are you trying to carry into your daily life? What was meaningful for you? Someone here said the lake is a mirror, so what did you see in the reflection? <3

I‘ll start!

In the country I live in it’s not considered normal to talk to strangers in daily life, but I think it‘s wild how even brief chats with strangers can lead to a feeling of being connected despite differences. The spirit of WL could do much good in this regard so I want to keep up the chatty friendliness towards strangers!

Realised I am still more anxious than I thought and was confronted with my own insecurities regarding group dynamics. Uncomfortable truth but good to know. I want to work through it and practice doing things solo more (you all who went to WL completely solo are so inspiring)!

I really felt in my body how close the essence of Life and Death are to each other. And how music and dancing really helps me integrate grief by letting me feel my way through everything. I went to WL right off the back of the wake of a friend who took their own life recently. At the festival I experienced such beautiful music, and the beauty of life and the pain of death were almost the same bittersweet feeling inside of me. I smile-cried my way through concerts many times and I am so grateful for this gift. Especially with Sartianna‘s passing this feels even more meaningful to me now, as I think of everyone who loved her ❤️
