Can I Use Virtual Desktop On The Quest 3 Without Buying It On The App Store?

I'm trying to google this, but the search results assume I'm asking about the quest app. I just recently got a quest 3 and I have no intention of buying anything off the app store, it's exclusively a steam link device and nothing else. I'm curious about VD, but is there a way to actually use it to connect to my pc or some other way to buy or download it outside of the quest store?
