Split Airport: Check-in not available (solution)

I hadn’t seen this information posted so thought I’d share in case it’s helpful to others. Departing on a SAS flight from Split, Croatia and kept getting this “Check-in not available right now” message on the app and there wasn’t much information online on how to resolve it, even when under the 24hr rule. You’ll have to go to the counter and check-in manually, which usually has really long lines.

Turns out that some airlines in the Split airport don’t support online check-in, maybe it’s due to an old/outdated system. However, there’s a Split airport website that will allow to check-in and get a boarding pass. I was also able to change seats before checking in.
