Which Linux version do you recommend for a gamer?

I'm currently using Windows 10, and by October of next year, the OS will have reached its end of extended security updates. My PC doesn't meet the requirements to upgrade to Windows 11, so I thought maybe it’s time to give Linux a try.

I'm a guy who mostly uses a PC for gaming, chatting with friends on Discord, listening to music on Spotify, doing creative and RP writing on Google Docs and Sheets and browsing the web when I need to look something up. Which version of Linux do you recommend for someone like me? I've never used the OS before, so I got no idea what I'm doing as far as Linux goes.

My specs are:

GPU: Asus Radeon RX 580 Dual 8gb

CPU: Intel Core i5 6600K 3.5GHz

RAM: 16GB DDR4 2133MHz
