Should Class 12 Board Marks Be Included in JEE Admissions?

I personally don't think Class 12 board marks should be given significant weightage in JEE admissions.

JEE is designed to evaluate engineering aptitude through Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. If board marks become part of the admission process, subjects like English or other languages could influence selection, even though they don't directly measure engineering aptitude.

Board exams are important, but they serve a different purpose. JEE already provides a common national standard for evaluating candidates.

What do you think? Should JEE admissions continue to be based only on JEE performance, or should board marks also play a major role?
