Rude People at Quinta da Regaleira

My partner and I have had a fantastic time with our trip in Lisbon. We really enjoyed touring around the city, going to Cascais for our day trip, communicating with locals (who are very friendly and lovely) and was really looking forward to our trip to Sintra as it was highly recommended.

Perhaps poor planning on our part, but we realized that Pena Palace was closed this week and so we were really looking forward to visiting Quinta da Regaleira to make up for it. However, I found that the ushers (the ones checking your ticket) are quite rude and unhelpful… that it just soured our trip and we didn’t go in. We bought our ticket but the elderly lady refused to let us in with no explanation.

I’m thinking of coming back tomorrow instead and pre-buying our ticket online for tomorrow at the earliest time. My question is if the people working at the front(the ones checking the ticket)— will they be the same or would it be different?
