I'm using the latest Onion OS stable on my MM+. Is there an update to the Retroarch, and all it's core within there?

Doest Retroarch or OnionOS allows us to separately update RA and its cores without updating the whole OS? I think that the Beta of Onion has a newer RA, but I don't wanna install a beta version first.
