AITA if I don’t help him pack?
My partner wanted to do this Mediterranean cruise. I was hesitant and neither of us has ever been on a cruise. We leave in a few weeks.
I have been preparing for months. Checking in, getting us luggage tags, planning excursions, making the packing list, buying stuff we’ll need, researching the cruise line and the ports. I just need to order foreign currency from the bank, get my med list from the doctor, and pack my bags, then I’m ready to leave.
He’s mostly worried about what he’s going to do about weed. He does have his passport. But that’s about it. He chose this long cruise on this old-fashioned cruise line but he’s a man who plays video games, smokes weed, wears cut off jeans, and struggles to find t-shirts without curse words on them. A true American Gen-X Peter Pan.
I’m worried if he gets himself kicked off this thing, I will be kicked off too. I also don’t want to do the cruise alone.
Yesterday, we’re chatting and he said he knew I would be bringing a big travel mug for each of us. That’s when I realized, this man is totally counting on me covering his rear. He doesn’t even own a large travel mug.
AITA for not packing for him and not doing anything beyond what I already have to hep him prepare?
