M33, planning solo bike ride ladakh in july

First time visiting leh. Planning for workation, 3 weeks which includes 10 day circuit trip in bike. Landing leh on 13th july.

I know ladakh terrain is rocky and offroading. I want maximum flexibility and I didnt pre book any bike tour operator or stay outside leh. planning to figure it out after i acclimatized.

Little bit background. i own a duke 200 and i can do long highway drives spanning 200 to 300km (80% highways, 20% mountain). I like to drive at my own pace. If i feel tired i might extend my stay for another day and then proceed. I prefer flexibility over tight schedule.

My concerns are

1. Riding solo or small group or large group?

2. Given july month is peak season, do i need to book home stay in hanle or turtuk before hand? Also will i have flexibility to extend it for a day?

3. If homestay outside leh is fully booked, is layering with sleeping bag enough to survive cold night?

4. I am packing light, 40L for total duration, too little.

5. Secure storage for my office laptop, whilei am out on 10 day trip.

Please recommend half day to 2 day drive from leh during weekends to test the waters before starting long drive.
