about the ending of mister miracle…

so i want your guys opinion on this book and what it means. i really liked the ending, especially the >!darkseid is. yeah, i know. but we are too.!< it was a beautiful message about life being inherently painful and containing suffering, but deciding to live and take in the small moments.

my question is about your interpretation of the main story. >! do you think scott succeeded in his attempt at suicide at the beginning? i know some interpretations say he’s experiencing the anti life equation and being stuck in it but his life being real, but the fact that he sees dead people from his past makes me wonder if he succeeded.!<
