[Unknown][2000s\2010s?] A game with a giant purple evil space water bear vs a father

I may be crazy, but I remember watching a YouTube video like a decade ago of a someone playing this game with a 2d art style where the protagonist is a father with their son.
They live in a house, but the house gets crushed and the son gets kidnapped by a giant purple space water bear with an actual bear head (?) and the father goes to get him back (or get revenge? I don’t remember exactly). I remember in the game, the father meets and recruits a band of people, including a Spanish (?) pirate/explorer woman who claims land for the Spanish (?) crown, and at the end they face off the giant purple water bear by flying to space on a bus (???), and the thing has the fathers son in one of its hands.
I also distinctly remember the father’s group of heroes losing and their bus being flung back to earth with the bus on fire in a cutscene. I believe the giant purple water bear said “sayonara”, and while the group was flying back to earth the purple water bear casually starts talking to the son about how “sayonara” is Japanese or something.
It was a sort of 2d bird’s eye view map kind of game.
