Q3 charging data cable questions

Hey there. The 3 m charging data cable I have is running very slowly and has become intermittent.... if I unplug and replug it in in can double my data transfer speed.

Pls explain..

For the last few years to access q2 and q3 data i need to have the the headset on when i plug the cable in ...and then i click the usb pop up prompt which only lasts a few seconds ...or the q3 won't connect to my pc.

It doesn't always work and needs a long cable which can't be moved.

• Why is this system so awful and is there a better way?

As I need a 3 m min cable for data transfer (mostly 3d movies)...

• Does cable length matter ?
• And which company make the fastest or most reliable cable from pc to q3 ?
