AITA forgetting upset at my boyfriend for texting me as much as he used to?

My boyfriend (M) and I (M) have been together for a little over a month and have known each other for about a year and a half. Usually he would text me everyday with obviously some breaks in between. He recently got back from a vacation with a couple family members and has been busy, which I completely understand.

However, for about a couple days before he got back, I hadn’t gotten a single text from him. Which I noticed was very odd of him. I asked him about it then, he said he was sick for a couple days, that’s fair of course. In between that and when he got back, he again hadn’t texted me even though he said he was feeling better the day prior. Then when he got back, we had a bit of a disagreement on the fact that he wasn’t sending texts and wasn’t explaining them. I told him that if he says he’ll text me at X time but doesn’t, I would like an explanation because the lack of reason bothers me. Now, I don’t mean every 5 seconds when he doesn’t text me he has to inform me of a reason, I mean after a prolonged time of no contact. Additionally, if it was a personal issue or something that he doesn’t want to talk about, I do not expect a reason because I hate forcing people to tell me things they obviously don’t want to talk about.

After that, he went silent for about 3 days. I asked him if I said something wrong and he said that he got annoyed that I was upset at him not texting me and that I was pressuring him to text me everyday and update me on everything he’s doing, which was absolutely not what I wanted. He also said that since I got used to talking to him a lot, I started expecting him to text. Which I will admit that is true, but I think it’s fair I got used to it after a long time of texting him frequently. I really never meant to annoy him, but I don’t think ITA for getting upset at him.

AITA for getting upset at my boyfriend for not talking to me as much as he used to?

PS: I know this might seem silly, but I truly want to know if I’m in the wrong here.
