Siam conquering Indochina on historical?

As the title suggests, since 1.19 with thunder at our gates Siam now conquers Indochina from Vichy France and holds it, while Japan only occupies the Hanoi area. Is this intentional? Don’t think it’s historically accurate so why have they made this change?
