question about ink (Platinum carbon) with other pens
Hi, I've been using platinum carbon ink for about 8 years now and really like it. I use a few different fountain pens but my favorites are Platinum Preppy. I use them for drawing not writing.
recently I started testing Rotring isographs and really like the way they draw, finer and no feathering (my only problem with preppy).
The issue with those rotring pens is that the ink inside the pen seems to dry very fast if I dont use it often and on the other hand the ink on paper ends up not drying fast enough that days later when I open my sketchbook I end up with smudges and stains on the other side of the page where I use rotring pens, an issue I never had with platinum carbon ink.
I read that I shouldn't use my platinum ink on the rotring pens, so I'm mainly wondering if anyone knows of either a similar pen to rotring isograph (fine liners) that could work with platinum ink, OR a fountain pen similar to preppy (cheap and reliable) that doesn't feather and would work as fine and without much line size variation.
wasn't sure which subreddit to ask this but figured folks here might be knowledgeable about more topics in this realm.
thanks!
