With the recent AUR security incident, is Arch Linux still safe as a daily driver?

The incident involved malicious AUR packages rather than Arch Linux itself, but has it changed your trust in using Arch as your main OS? Or do you see it simply as a reminder to be more cautious when using the AUR?
