I'm starting this sub for people building AI startups out of Singapore. Here's the idea.

I've spent the last couple of years around Singapore's AI founder scene — hosting small dinners, running a podcast, watching a lot of people quietly build serious things here. And I kept noticing the same thing: the community is real, but it's scattered. It lives in WhatsApp groups, closed dinners, DMs. There's no open place to just… talk.

So this is that place.

If you're building an AI startup from Singapore — solo, pre-seed, funded, cross-border, whatever — this is for you. Especially the messy parts: hiring when the talent pool is tiny, raising when your home market is 6 million people, deciding whether to sell into SEA, the US, or China, and staying sane while doing all of it.

No pitch-me energy, no growth-hack spam. Just founders being honest about what's actually hard.

To get us started, I'd love to know:

  • What are you building?
  • What's the hardest part of doing it from Singapore specifically?
  • What's one thing you wish existed for founders here?

I'll go first in the comments.
