best book list

most lists seem to be books that were originally published in english. as we know, global literature is incredibly rich yet seems to be disregarded or is included as a token gesture

for example books like cather in the rye by salinger tops many lists whereas the epic of Gilgamesh, book of songs, the odyssey and other foundational texts are missing.

do you know of any lists which looks objectively (as objectively as one can) at the top 100 books?

thanks!
