Title: LG S60 soundbar suddenly makes voices sound like they're coming through a microphone/tunnel. Nothing fixes it.
Hey everyone,
I have an LG S60 soundbar connected to a TCL Google TV, and out of nowhere the dialogue started sounding really strange—almost like people are talking through a microphone, megaphone, or from inside a tunnel. Music and sound effects seem mostly okay, but voices sound awful.
Things I've already tried:
- Factory reset of the soundbar
- Unplugging everything for several minutes
- Switching between all sound modes (Standard, AI Sound Pro, Cinema, etc.)
- Turning off Dolby Atmos and other audio enhancements
- Setting the TV's digital audio output to PCM
- Testing multiple apps (Netflix, YouTube, regular TV)
- Testing with the TV speakers only
The TV speakers sound completely normal. The issue only happens through the LG S60.
Before I assume it's a hardware failure, has anyone experienced this with an LG S60 or similar LG soundbar? Could the center channel or audio processing board be failing, or is there another setting I should check?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
