Has anyone successfully corrected the year of birth on their PSA birth certificate

PSA

I'm currently trying to correct the year of birth on my PSA birth certificate. My current PSA record incorrectly shows 1938 instead of 1988, even though my Certificate of Live Birth from the Quezon City Local Civil Registry reflects the correct year.

What's even more confusing is that my previous NSO-issued birth certificate reflected my correct year of birth (1988). It was only after requesting a new PSA-issued copy that the year of birth appeared as 1938.

I've already secured the following documents:

PSA Birth Certificate

Certified Copy of my Certificate of Live Birth from the Quezon City Local Civil Registry

PSA E-Certificate

However, based on the response I received from the PSA Helpdesk, they informed me that no Correction of Entry has been endorsed to the PSA. They advised me to coordinate with the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) where my birth was registered so they can endorse the corrected record to the PSA.

This left me confused because the Local Civil Registry has already issued me a certified copy showing the correct year of birth, and my old NSO-issued birth certificate was also correct.

Has anyone experienced the same issue where an old NSO birth certificate was correct, but a newer PSA birth certificate suddenly contained an incorrect year of birth? What caused it, and how were you able to resolve it? Did you need to request an endorsement from the LCRO, or was there another process?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through something similar. Thank you!
