Stop opening apps to study vocabulary. Here is a better workflow for Mac users.

Most vocabulary apps are built on a lie: "Just open the app for 15 minutes every day."

But life happens. You skip a day. The streak dies, the guilt sets in, and the app gets deleted.

What if you never had to open a study app again?

I built Wordrop on the opposite idea. It’s a macOS menu bar app that comes to you — silently and automatically — while you’re already working.

Here is how it works:

  1. You set an "Idle Threshold" (e.g. 5 seconds).
  2. You block out focus apps (like Zoom or Keynote).
  3. When you are working, and you pause typing for 5 seconds to read docs or wait for a build, Wordrop slides a tiny 30-second quiz overlay onto your screen.

You type the answer, and it vanishes.

It hijacks the natural micro-gaps in your workday (the 20 seconds you waste doing nothing) and fills them with Spaced Repetition vocabulary review.

You don't need daily discipline because the app brings the learning to you.

At 10 words a day, reviewed purely during your idle time, you'll memorize 1,000 words in 3 months without ever "scheduling a study session." Let the algorithm do the work in the background.
